Those That Burn The Brightest explores the beauty and inevitability of impermanence. A flame can represent a life, a season, or a moment that we know cannot last forever. As the flame slowly fades, the show reflects on what it means to cherish the moments we have while they are here and carry their memory after they are gone. Those That Burn The Brightest was originally commissioned by Buchanan High School for the 2026 Indoor Percussion season. Their performance of the program earned them a gold medal at NCPA finals in PSW, and a finals appearance at WGI World Championships.
